COACH'S CORNER

The coaching staff at the Aurora Country Club shares a similar philosophy: We want all swimmers to enjoy what they are doing and to show personal improvement. We will individualize workouts and expectations based on the ability each swimmer brings to the pool.   Teamwork and encouragement from all the coaches and other swimmers is also very important. The Aurora Country Club wants swimming to be a positive experience for all of our swimmers, regardless of ability level.

Head coach, Angi Rowley, grew up swimming in central Nebraska. She attended Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois as a distance swimmer at the collegiate level. After college, she coached swimming and diving for 5 years at the Illinois Math and Science Academy. Her full time job is as an 8 th grade English teacher at Cowherd Middle School. This is her fourth summer with the Aurora Country Club.
