Junior Golf Mission Statement

To have our Junior Golfers learn to play the game of golf quickly, safely and respectfully. To impress upon our Junior’s, Golf’s Core Values – Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Confidence, Responsibility, Perseverance, Courtesy, & Judgment. To learn and understand that an “errant” shot is nothing more than an opportunity to learn, adjust and continue towards the main goal of having FUN!!!

Instruction Schedule

Junior Golf Camp I

This Camp is intended for those Junior Golfers who are new to the Game and normally play 1, 3 or 6 Holes. Typically these Golfers are ages 7 to 12. Instruction will cover Rules, Etiquette, & Care of the Course, to all facets of playing the Game itself. The cost per child for this session is $25.00

Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, July 9 th, 10 th &11 th from 8:00 Am to 11:30 AM

Junior Golf Camp II

Camp II is aimed at those Juniors who have progressed into 9 or 18 holes on a regular basis. Typically age 13 and above these Juniors will receive in depth instruction through more one-on-one contact with the Professional Staff, sessions with our Launch Monitor and Video Analysis. The cost per child for this session is $50.00.

Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, July 16 th, 17 th &18 th from 8:00 Am to 11:30 AM

The ACC Junior Golf Championships

Open to all Juniors from Aurora Country Club.

Wednesday, July 30 th – 1 st Round Tee Times for 9 & 18 Holers.

Thursday, July 31 st – 2 nd Round Tee times for 9 & 18 Holers, One Round for 1,3 & 6 Holers.

The ACC Parent-Child Championships

This event allows either Parent to pair up with any of their children. (In-Law participation is allowed).

Saturday, August 2 nd – Tee Times starting at 11:00 A.M. Pairings will be such that 18 Hole competitors will tee off first, followed by the 9 Hole competitors. There is a $20 per team charge for this event.

The ACC Junior Sports Awards & Movie Night

Friday, August 8 th at 6:00 P.M. – Please call the Front Office for reservations.

Please contact the Golf Shop at (630) 892-3785 to sign up your Junior Golfers for either of this year’s Junior Golf Camps. (These Camps are open to the children of ACC Golf Members only).

JUNIOR GOLFER RULES & REGULATIONS

A Junior Golfer is defined as a member's unmarried child (Age 23 or less) living at the residence of the member and has the privilege of playing and/or using the practice facilities subject to the following rules and regulations:

1. All juniors must first register in the Golf Shop and receive permission from the Golf Professional or one of the Assistants before teeing off, using the putting green, practice bunker area or the driving range.
2. Juniors under the age of twelve (12) must be accompanied by an adult whether on the course or utilizing any of the practice facilities and only during permissible Junior playing times, except on Junior Golf Days. Exceptions may be granted, solely at the discretion of the Golf Staff, based upon the Junior's handicap and character.
3. The Junior Golf Program is open to the children of Active, Junior Active and Corporate members only.
4. Juniors under the age of sixteen (16) are not permitted to operate golf carts and children under the age of seven (7) are not allowed in carts.
5. A Member's child, age 16 to 22, may play with their parents after 11:00 A.M. on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
6. It is the responsibility of the Member to see that their children abide by these Rules & Regulations.
