Player Programs:
Lessons: Lessons: All lessons are scheduled through Brian Brooks, Director of Tennis at the Aurora Country Club. Lessons are offered to all ages and should be considered an integral part of the tennis program. Lessons are designed to help the player improve at a faster rate. Cost: $55 per hour. Semi-private: $55 per hour. Group lessons available upon request.
Adult Drill Groups begin the week of June 6, 2011
and end the week of July 30, 2011
Wednesday, Women's Drill -- 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. (Starts 6/7, last drill 7/27). This drill group is directed to those learning and having fun with the game. This is the "less competitive" of the three (3) ladies' drill groups. We have a two (2) player minimun. Cost is $17 per player.
Thursday, Family Night -- 6:00-7:30 p.m. (Thurs., 7/7 and 7/28) and Friday, Family Night -- 6:00-7:30 p.m. (Fri., 6/24)
(This is designed for the parent and student to drill and play. Brian will lead and direct the parents/children in drills and games that the parents can use to develop their young players. There must be at least one adult and child per family, more family members are welcome. Price is $10 per player.
Friday Ladies Travel Drill -- 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. (To be scheduled) This drill group is offered to the first four (4) ladies that sign up for the drill. It will occur at the ACC, Eaglebrook Club, Dunham Woods Club, and the Geneva Country Club. Players from each of these clubs will participate. Cost is $17 per player.
Friday, Morning Ladies Drill -- 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. (Starts 6/10) This drill group is directed towards the 3.5 and up player. This is drilling and match play at a more competitive level. This group meets every Friday when there is NOT a travel drill scheduled.
Junior Tennis Program -- June 6, 2011 - July 28, 2011
The Aurora Country Club tennis program is created to bring your children the best tennis instruction and play possible. Brian and his staff will work hard to teach your student the basic strokes, rules, and strategies needed to become a tennis player. Our staff will bring games and competition to help your player meet their goals. We will teach the game and work very hard to make it a fun experience. Tennis is a life long sport that can provide a lifetime of fun and fitness.
All players will receive an Aurora Country Club Tennis T-Shirt, if they sign up before the first program dates. The prices include rain days, vacations, illness, etc.. There are no make-up dates.
Please feel free to discuss the placement of your player with Brian. Your player's placement will ultimately determine which program is best for his/her improvement and enjoyment. Spring Tennis Camp: Saturdays, May 21, May 28 and June 4 -- 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. -- $35. Brian will hold this early season camp to get an early start on the outdoor tennis season.
Quick Start (Ages 4 - 6 ) : Monday and Wednesday - 9:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. -- $95.
This class covers all of the basics and compares to most Quick Start and Pee-Wee tennis programs. We have a lot of fun with lead-up games and teach the beginning skills to start your child's tennis adventure. They will learn to manage quick start match play.
Beginners (Ages 7 - 9) : Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
- 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. -- $255.
This class will continue to build the basic strokes, learn game rules and bridge to point play. This class is for beginners and students that have progressed past the level of Quick Start.
Aurora Country Club Tennis Team (Ages 9 and up) : Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday - 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. -- $345.
This class is designed for students that understand the rules of tennis, can place a serve in the court on a regular basis, and sustain a multiple ball rally. These players will represent the club during our inter-club matches. The match play will be on most Fridays, with time and dates to be announced.
